Plan your Wedding Regardless of Gender Barrier

Same-gender weddings are becoming increasingly popular, and wedding photographers are receiving an increasing number of enquiries from LGBT couples. Marriages necessitate a great deal of planning, and same-sex weddings necessitate much more. There are a few things you should think about that you hadn’t previously considered. All of your hard work will pay off in the end! But, before you begin your preparations, have a look at these helpful hints.

When it comes to wedding planning, the most important thing to remember is that it’s all about you. Don’t be concerned about customs you don’t care for or guests you don’t want around you. As you experience this extremely precious day with your love, enjoy having your closest friends and family by your side.

A same-sex pair can be photographed in the same way as a heterosexual relationship

Traditional Irish Wedding Photography is based on fundamental assumptions such as a white gown and a dark tux, masculine and feminine gender roles, and physical distinctions between men and women. In general, these expectations do not apply to same-sex couples, who may both be dressed in black tuxes or white dresses and have similar body types.

Diversity is Honoured

Working with such a diverse group of amazing couples is one of my favourite aspects of this job. Couples with various origins, preferences, and things that matter to them, as well as attributes that define who they are.

Weddings are such a wonderful chance to honour the qualities that define us as individuals, but especially as partners. Each year, the diversity we get to see is extremely refreshing and encouraging. We at INFOKUS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have been able to photograph such a broad group of people. Love is love — it’s as simple as that.

Most Loved Same-Sex Wedding Traditions

  • Spending the Night Before the Wedding With Each Other

Who says the night before your wedding has to be spent apart? Archaic rules are no longer necessary. Same-sex couples don’t want to be separated the night before the wedding, and they’re not going to make you do something you don’t want to do. Spend the night together and get excited for your big day!

  • Getting Ready Together in the Mornin

It will be lovely to wake up together, relishing in the thrill of the day. Prepare as a couple for the big day; if you don’t want a “big reveal” at the ceremony, don’t do it!

Walking Down the Aisle With Each Other

Walking down the aisle together is a great way for same-sex couples to demonstrate their undeniable love for one another. It represents their oneness and dedication as they embark on their journey together, arm in arm with the one they swear to love forever. We are firm believers in marriage equality, believing that everyone should be able to marry. In Ireland, we’d like to do more Gay Weddings. We welcome all members of the LGBTIQ community.

In fact, we shoot gay and lesbian couples in the same way that we shoot other couples. INFOKUS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY enjoy documenting a couple’s love story because love is love. It doesn’t make a difference to us. Please have a look at our portfolio, and if you like what you see and can see yourself in them, and you’re searching for Irish Wedding Photography, please get in touch.
