I’m Keith, a documentary wedding photographer based in Waterford but covering weddings all over Ireland, My vision of your wedding day is it should be allowed to run at its own pace. My job is to understand that pace and match it. 

 

90% of the day, I’m just soaking it all up. Being able to be in a room, observe what is happening, blend in and almost become invisible is where some of the really amazing photographs happen. I move between your family and friends, watch what is happening and photograph the moments that can’t really be staged, all the little things happening around you while you are busy living the day yourself.

How I work

Before the wedding, we’ll talk through your plans, the photos you want and what matters most to you. That way, you can enjoy the day knowing I’ve got what I need.

For most of the day, I’ll work quietly in the background. When something needs organising, I’ll step in and help. Being calm and knowing how to deal with people is a big part of the job.

We’ll agree on your family photo list beforehand, with someone from each side helping to gather everyone. These usually take around 15 minutes.

For photos of the two of you and your wedding party, I allow another 20–30 minutes. I’ll have the locations planned, so we can keep it relaxed and get you back to your guests. You don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll give you a little direction when you need it.

​

You’ve invited your family and friends because you want to spend time with them. I’ll make sure you get lovely photos without the photography taking over your day.
