If you can afford to buy some of your weekly shopping as organic produce there is a guide to help you decide where to spend your money. Like most women, our makeup bags often contain the next big thing that all the big brands bring out. The new ‘must have’ mascara that magically makes your lashes looks ten times thicker and longer. The new ‘must have’ foundation that gives you plump, dewy, flawless skin. But more often than not, we use them once and they are to be forever forgotten. Here I have compiled a basic list of makeup bag must haves to give anyone a good start with their makeup bag.
First of all I need to stress that I think every bride should hire a makeup artist to make her feel like royalty on her big day. It is the one day where you not only want to feel but look your absolute best. That said, even Kate Middleton did her own makeup, and it turned out beautifully. ( Although she had the best in the business supervise her while doing so !!!) The big key is do not over think things and go out to the counters and spend €’s on 10 different items that you probably won’t even use. Simple and straightforward products that will keep a good place in your makeup bag even after the big day, that’s what you want!
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is an extremely common and debilitating condition characterized by chronic abdominal pain, discomfort, bloating, and altered bowel habits. It has no known or understood cause but is thought to be triggered by illness, infection or a stressful life event.

(Baby food that is, not drunk!)
The perfect nails by Dawn of glamour by Dawn So on our big day we accessorize everything. Our shoes, earrings, hair and makeup not to mention the dress. But as people will love to have a look at the new ‘bling’ that will be rocking on your fingers, it is also important to have lovely manicured nails. Anyone that knows me knows that I am HUGE fan of my nails been done and have rocked a French set of acrylics for about 7 years now… Artificial nails have been a popular trend since the early 1990’s and are continuously increasing in popularity.
When my 2 beautiful daughters were placed in my arms 6 months ago, I knew beyond any doubt that I wanted to nourish them to the best of my ability. Luckily, my career as a nutritionist has given me a bit of a helping hand in terms of knowing what constitutes health food but when it came to introducing wholesome nosh for my little ones, I had to put on my thinking cap. Weaning – so many questions come to mind before you’ve even bought your first feeding spoon; what makes good baby food? When should I start? How much food do I offer my baby at first?
Spring Makeup by Dawn of glamour by Dawn So with Spring upon us and lately we have been graced with some fantastic weather. Not sure how long it is gonna last (knowing Ireland, about 5 mins) but we sure will make the most of it. Although it’s not very hot it is still important to protect ourselves so be sure that when wearing makeup that you have some with a little SPF it. Or mix a very light SPF with some of your primer before putting foundation on. If not using foundation, just apply some bronzer around the frame of your face and a little under the cheekbones just to warm up the skin and bring a little of it done along
“What are probiotics?” We are bombarded everyday with TV ads and newspaper articles telling us about the latest new products that are going to have us bouncing with energy and feeling on top of the world, but it can often be difficult to wade through the buzzwords and jargon du jour! So this month I thought it might be helpful to answer a question I get asked very often – “What are probiotics?” Probiotics is an umbrella term for the beneficial bacteria that live within our digestive systems. The word probiotic is taken from the Greek word meaning “for life” and our gut can contain up to 1 kg of these clever little fellows. “What are probiotics?” “Who should take probiotics?”
